Health Travel ABC – Business Finland

In 2020, TDC Consulting was contracted by Business Finland/Visit Finland to conduct an international market study. As one of the two project leaders, TDC Consulting produced a comprehensive guide outlining the global health travel market. This guide was designed to help relevant institutions in Finland better understand market mechanisms.

 

The guide does not differentiate between health tourism and medical tourism, using these terms interchangeably to describe patients' mobility in seeking medical care, often across borders, to combat disease or enhance health. Typically, these patients are healthy enough to participate in tourist activities as well.
